Well, yes, possibly a drumstick.

Here is the remaining rooster, cockle-dooing but not harrassing the hens. Not yet. When that starts, it is just too upsetting for the featherless Hen Mother and he must go.

Until then, give the guy some room. He’s molting and is getting an attitude. But then, so am I.

  1. I confess I went for the “bad chicken” look here. The bird is actually rather handsome. And darn him, friendly. It will be hard to dispatch him when the time comes. And it is coming.
