Toddler: smaller than the norm. Dog: bigger

Mighty quiet around here. About a week ago, this was a busy place. And Taryn met the biggest dog of her short lifetime: Jesse, at #126.


Obviously, she overcame her angst around large dogs. Tsuga’s 85 pounds were dashing around just out of sight of the viewfinder.

Fred First holds masters degrees in Vertebrate Zoology and physical therapy, and has been a biology teacher and physical therapist by profession. He moved to southwest Virginia in 1975 and to Floyd County in 1997.
